One of our biggest teachings to my clients is understand that while we are getting them to drop FAT our ultimate goal is to get them to Reclaim Their Health. 2) Celebrity Slim, Atkins, Beach Diet, Cabbage Soup Diet, Low Carb Diets…….these are not they way forward: They all preach the same message. Have a look at collegues/friends or family who are on these types of diets. Apart from eating smaller portions if the foods they ate that got them there in the first place, and attending a gym or fitness class what habits have they broken?
They are not educating themselves in to becoming healthier and changing the habits that got them there in the first place. They are just focusing on dropping weight. This is why people yo-yo between diets. They don’t break the habit/cycle of eating poor choices in foods. So they drop the desired weight and then it slowly creeps back on, so they start the cycle again.

4) We are less active: We drive 5 minutes to the shop, we drive to take the dogs for a walk, we take lifts instead of stairs, we take escalators instead of stairs, we play football on the tv rather than outside with our friends. I joke with my clients that we are slowly becoming robots because we are being dictated to and forgetting what we know is right for us. Even driving is becoming easier with some cars being able to park for you and cruise control!
